Improve my understanding of multiple languages. In-Situ is a global company because water is a global resource. I work closely with an outstanding international team that speaks the local languages and understands the cultures, but it would be nice to walk into a meeting and be able to speak directly with anyone.

When customers have an “aha moment” and realize that we can help them solve their water monitoring challenge, improve the way they collect data, improve the outcome of their project, or simply help them do their job better.
WHAT ARE YOU HEARING MOST FROM YOUR CUSTOMERS WORKING IN THE IRRIGATION MARKET?
They want and need more data to better manage the resource. With increasing water demand, changing climate, and new regulations, the irrigation market needs monitoring solutions that are easy to set up, use, and maintain; are cost efficient; and ultimately, provide high-quality data when and where they need it.
HOW HAS THE WATER WELL INDUSTRY RECEIVED IN-SITU’S MACE PRODUCTS?
Our line of MACE monitoring equipment provides flexible and expandable site monitoring that is easy to install, easy to use, and virtually maintenance-free. Multiple sensors can be connected to monitor inputs such as pipe and open channel flows, water quality, dam levels, soil moisture, and pump and engine management.
REACTIONS TO THE GROUNDWATER WEEK 2019 ROLLOUT OF YOUR NEW CELLULAR AND SATELLITE TELEMETRY DEVICE?
People were intrigued and excited to see a telemetry solution that requires little to no surface infrastructure and connects to data networks anywhere in the world. Setup is as easy as connecting an instrument and pressing a button. It also connects to third-party instruments, meaning you’re not limited to our sensors.
BIGGEST CHALLENGES IN DEVELOPING MONITORING EQUIPMENT?
Satisfying everyone’s design ideas. We talk and listen to customers to understand how they use monitoring equipment. We then develop products around making them easier and more efficient for the user. Having application specialists like myself working closely with our research and development and commercial teams is a huge advantage.
