NGWA University Delivers the Education You Need

The new online learning platform helps you obtain CEUs for state licensing, NGWA certification, or to simply learn a new skill.

Continuing education has always been a core value that keeps our industry moving forward and our members at NGWA the best groundwater professionals the world has to offer.

Learning in the classroom provides many benefits. It allows opportunities to learn new skills and better practices along with the opportunity to connect with peers and discuss our ever-changing industry.

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic made the in-person education many of us prefer impossible for the majority of 2020 and so far this year.

But while this virus continues to challenge our country and businesses, it also continues to provide new innovations and opportunities to face those challenges. We’re always looking for ways to deliver better products and operate as well as opportunities to step out of our comfort zones and try new things.

It’s within this climate of change and innovation that we’re proud to announce a new way of continuing the education we all value so much. I’d like to introduce NGWA University.

NGWA University, which is sponsored by our friends at Franklin Electric, is a new online resource built from the ground up with one goal in mind: providing outstanding online and on-demand educational opportunities to groundwater professionals.

NGWA University hosts hundreds of hours of online classes, product demonstrations, on-demand videos, and state certification trainings that will allow industry professionals to continue their education and earn CEUs from anywhere in the world.

While we will always continue to offer in-person education when it’s again safe to do so, this new resource will ensure that access to continuing education is available, no matter the circumstances.

The new online format will also allow you to connect with the most respected professionals from across the country and ensure you always have the opportunity to hear from the industry’s leading experts, no matter your location.

We’re excited about the near limitless options we’ll have to provide our members new safety and well drilling methods, product demonstrations on emerging technologies, and ways to grow your business and expand your service offerings.

NGWA University will also provide new opportunities for collaboration within the industry.

We’re happy to be partnering with state affiliate groundwater and water well associations in co-promotion and revenue sharing programs that will both support NGWA and your statewide associations. We’ll also be working closely with the industry’s manufacturers and suppliers to provide product-specific training and updates on new technology.

Like our industry itself, NGWA University is not done evolving. Later this year we expect to see an even greater amount of course offerings and NGWA certification programs online. For many states, you’ll also be able to receive your state-specific CEUs and education requirements through NGWA University. These will be made easily available through a state-by state search of available courses and certifications.

While NGWA University will likely be a more valuable resource during these uncertain times, it was in development far before the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. We developed NGWA University because we wanted to create a format that delivers the education you need—by your choosing and on your terms.

We understood the importance that education has to our industry, and in turn, the importance our industry has to the world. If our professionals are unable to grow through advanced education, our communities, economy, and planet would certainly feel the impact. It’s the growth of our industry that ensures water is delivered safely and affordably to millions of people across the world, and we know NGWA University will play an important role in our water future.

COVID-19 pandemic or not, there are always going to be challenges and unforeseen obstacles that force us to adapt and innovate. As the year ahead unfolds and new obstacles arise, know that NGWA and NGWA University will be there to help you reach your goals, no matter the circumstances. Because at NGWA, we’re focused on our industry, focused on our members, and focused on the future.
