THE BEST ADVICE I EVER GOT?
Always do your best and be honest. Accept graciously praise for a job well done and responsibility for any problems related to your actions.

ON MY DESK RIGHT NOW?
Various supplier proposals and product spec sheets that require some study and selection in order to expand our present offerings, insurance files for public works bidding, and information on SGMA (Sustainable Groundwater Management Act) in California to ponder. . .

WHEN I WANT TO UNWIND . . .
I spend time with my family either actively playing together, watching my boys play sports, reading, or cycling.

MOST IMPORTANT CHALLENGE FACING GROUNDWATER PROFESSIONALS?
Being able to provide water and energy-efficient solutions to a variety of customers, and of course, water availability and quality. There is also a host of new water-related regulations which will have big impact on our industry in one way or another.

EFFICIENT IRRIGATION SYSTEMS HAVE . . .
Been designed to meet specific needs, are professionally installed and professionally maintained, and optimize water and energy use.

THE BIGGEST WATER ISSUE FACING IRRIGATORS TODAY?
We work a lot in agriculture and are in California, so water scarcity is becoming the new norm. The constant challenge for irrigators is to optimize yields while intelligently using their usually scarce water resources.

HOW DO YOU SEE CLIMATE IMPACTING IRRIGATION?
Land use is changing as climate change occurs and water patterns change. Some crops are no longer grown where they have been in the past and water users need to constantly evaluate their needs and return on investment.
