We must find a way to stand out among the crowd through the service we provide our customers. So, recruiting and training the next generation of employees in this information technology world is critical. Our success is dictated by the trained and motivated employees servicing our customers.
WHAT ARE YOU HEARING MOST FROM YOUR CUSTOMERS?
Most of my customers are staying busy and are all pleased with the direction of the economy. However, it seems everyone is facing shortages of skilled labor and is trying to determine how to attract young people to our industry.
HOW DOES YOUR CERTIFIED PUMP INSTALLER (CPI) DESIGNATION HELP YOU IN TALKING WITH CUSTOMERS?
I am a strong believer in being educated about the products we sell. That’s why I participated when the National Ground Water Association began the certification program. Knowledge is power, and I’ve gained a lot of knowledge in my 45 years in this industry.

This award means a great deal. The water well industry has already rewarded me in so many ways. As I think of the great people in my profession, I feel truly honored to receive this award. I hope I’ve made a difference.
