What Do You Want from Your Business?

The holidays are a hectic time.

And if you’re a business owner it can be even more hectic for you in December. Not only do you have to deal with family or client parties and holiday shopping, you have to deal with issues that occur at the end of the year as well.

As a small business owner, you have to decide whether there will be bonuses. You have to decide what kind of in-the-year spending you have to do and what kind of end-of-year expenses you can handle. You have to plan for next year. It can all be maddening.

The key thing to remember is that you’re not alone and a lot of us are in small business and going through the same thing as you. There is company in the misery.

There are a lot of us with questions about small business. Are we making the right decisions to keep our business moving forward? Are we doing as much as we can to help our business grow? Are we diversifying enough?

One of the goals that Water Well Journal wants to achieve with this blog is to answer some of the questions you have about business. The blog is a complement to the print edition that is mailed each month and we want it to complement your business. We want to hear your rants about business and how certain things are driving you crazy so we can work out the problems together. We want to hear your ravings about great accomplishments in your business so we can follow your great example.

The National Ground Water Association, which publishes WWJ, is a worldwide organization with members in numerous countries.  We want to find out what’s going on in your business where ever you are. We want to know how NGWA can help you better your business.

We are dedicating the WWJ blogs in 2014 to the needs of our readers. But that takes participation from you. We encourage you to send us your questions and comments.

So send us your rants and ravings. You can send them my way at lanastraub@gmail.com or to WWJ Editor Thad Plumley at tplumley@ngwa.org. I’ll share them with the world through this blog.

It’s been a pleasure to share my business stories with you since 2003. Now I want to tell your stories.

Here’s to a prosperous 2014 from my business to yours.
