NGWA Mourns Loss of Life Member

NGWA Life Member Gerald “Jerry” Sherman of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, died on December 15. He was 84.

Sherman worked in the water well drilling industry for more than 50 years. He was the long-time president of Rotary Drilling Equipment, which he started in 1985 and sold in 2012. He was then a sales representative for Versa-Drill/Laibe Corp. until his retirement a few years ago.

Sherman worked for more than 20 years early in his career for Portadrill where he was a national sales manager. He then started the company Wellmac Drilling in 1981 before starting Rotary Drilling Equipment.

He was a long-time member of NGWA, serving on its board of directors as well as the NGWA Supplier Board of Directors. He was awarded the NGWA Life Member Award in 2000.
