National Ground Water Association CEO Terry S. Morse, who holds a CIC (certified insurance counselor) designation, learned in June he has also earned the certified association executive—or CAE—designation from the American Society of Association Executives.
ASAE states the designation is the marker of a committed association professional who has demonstrated the wide range of knowledge essential to manage an association in today’schallenging environment.
The CAE program began in 1960, and as of March 2019, there were 4332 CAEs in the professional association and society market.
Morse gives NGWA two CAEs on its staff. David Evener, NGWA’s director of operations and technology, earned the CAE in 2014.
“I’m excited and honored to earn the CAE designation,” Morse says. “My goal is for the knowledge and skills learned to benefit our association, all groundwater professionals, including our state affiliate members, as the NGWA staff and I are working every day on their behalf.”
