Designing a Well with Large Casing Volume

Marvin F. Glotfelty, RG, explains the concept of designing a well with a large casing volume in an area with very low water production so that the well itself would provide storage. This is often done with old hand-dug wells. Glotfelty shares the viability of this concept and also the need to turn over the water in the well periodically to avoid stagnation and biochemical problems with the water.
