
Dave Yeager of Yeager Well Drilling & Pumps in Hamilton, Ohio, received the 2022 Life Member Award from the Ohio Water Well Association at its annual convention and working trade show, November 2-3 in Columbus.
Yeager started working for his father-in-law in 1975, first learning pump installations and then learning how to drill. He spent time talking and learning from the older drillers in the area and gradually became involved in the Ohio Water Well Association.
Yeager served as District 2 president and then served on the OWWA Board beginning in 1992. He went on to serve as president in 1998. After only a one year break in 2000, Yeager returned to the Board and served as president again in 2006. During his time as president he visited all the districts. He also served two terms on the Governor’s Advisory Board for Private Water Systems.

During his time on the OWWA Board he chairer and organized two well construction conferences and chaired one Water System Council conference. He served on the Rules Committee for Technical Guidance Doctrine for the State of Ohio from 1999-2000 and served on the Rules Committee for Revision of Rules from 2010-2011 and again in 2019.
Yeager helped with planning many conventions and presented to the Board the plan for the Student Scholarship Fund. With the use of funds from the Silent Auction and adding the 50/50 raffle, this fund has been successful in helping the industry’s students.
