Benefits That Make Sense for You

You may have noticed over the last few months emails and additional information from the National Ground Water Association regarding the availability of your new insurance and employee benefits product offerings.

In reviewing our member benefits, and after speaking with several of you, we decided to explore some updated business and personal insurance, HR, and payroll options for our valued members. We also wanted to do so in a way that made sense for you, your businesses, and your employees.

Our members often wear many hats, so we took the time to research the products and tools that might be a good fit. Navigating the world of insurance can be a headache, and the rules and regulations attached to HR and payroll processes is sometimes a job on its own. Hopefully these new member benefits will help reduce some of the headaches.

For contractors and suppliers who are current NGWA members, you are automatically enrolled in a $50,000 accidental death and dismemberment insurance policy through the Association. Additional insurance products we’re now providing exclusively to you, include:

  • General and pollution liability
  • Products and completed operations liability
  • Property and inland marine
  • Equipment breakdown
  • Workers comp
  • Auto
  • Professional liability
  • Employment practices and employee benefit plan liability
  • Crime/employee fidelity
  • Cybercrime and cyber liability
  • Umbrella liability insurance.

But we also understand your business needs could go beyond insurance, which is why NGWA is offering HR and payroll services as a member benefit. The business of running a business can be daunting, especially in a family-owned operation. It was important to find a product line that would easily and effectively guide our members through these processes. Through HR360 and Ahola, the oldest family enterprise payroll company in the United States, offerings include:

  • Employee benefits guidelines
  • Forms and policies, like employee handbooks
  • Healthcare reform guidelines
  • Steps on how to hire, discipline, and give performance reviews
  • Interactive HR tools including a job description developer and salary benchmarking tool
  • Payroll with real-time preview from any location
  • Automated tax filing
  • Employee self-service and mobile payroll app.

All NGWA members also have access to an employee benefits program offering additional accidental death insurance, life insurance, dental and vision insurance, health insurance, and cancer/critical care. For your personal insurance needs, NGWA is also offering an exclusive auto and home program and a health insurance program.

To make things as seamless as possible, these programs can be offered to your employees in several ways. You can pay fully for the benefit which would mean zero cost for your team; pay for a portion of the benefits and require an employee contribution; or volunteer them to your associates at cost.

Just a quick note: When exploring these products for our members, we looked for the best overall coverage vs. the best price. That said, there may be lower priced programs for you and your business on the market, but we thought it was important to provide options to explore with quality coverage through NGWA and our partners. In many cases the savings associated with these benefits covers the cost of your membership, and in some cases, goes well beyond that dollar amount.

We strive to be your business partner and look forward to exploring non-traditional products like these to enhance our member value and to help you develop, maintain, and grow successful businesses and careers.

Thanks—and I hope I see you in Las Vegas!
